Can You Hear Me Now? Parents & Teens Conference! Saturday, February 23rd!
The conference is designed with both separate and combined presentations for parents and their teens with opportunities throughout the day for families to gather to share what they have heard. There will also be translation headsets in Spanish for parents. Here is just some of what the day has to offer: - “Mutual Respect and Affection with your Teen ” - Art Bennett
- “Keeping a Clear Connection ” - Fr. Michael Sliney, L.C.
- Sister Clare Hunter, F.S.E. – emcee for the day
- Judy McDonald, a Catholic Comedian from San Diego will provide some laughter.
- Sunday Vigil Mass with Bishop Loverde to end the day!
Please eat lunch before arriving; some snacks will be provided throughout the afternoon.
We are also offering a professional childcare/Vacation Bible School program for younger children ages 3-12 so that entire families can participate in this conference together. Parents can attend without their children, although the family would benefit most by everybody attending. To help cover a portion of our costs for the day, we are requesting a donation of $25 per family. To register for this day, please send in registration form by February 19th. St. Veronica Youth Ministry strives to help the parish become a "Church for young people, which will know how to speak to their heart and enkindle, comfort, and inspire enthusiasm in it with the joy of the Gospel and the strength of the Eucharist; a Church which will know how to invite and to welcome the person who seeks a purpose for which to commit his whole existence; a Church which is not afraid to require much, after having given much; which does not fear asking from young people the effort of a noble and authentic adventure, such as that of the following of the Gospel"
